Reliability Issues?

  • The BottleCru.com web app runs reliably on most modern browsers.
  • If any issues are encountered, usually logging out and clearing the browser cache will fix the problem. (see tips below)
    • On an Apple product (iphone) To clear cache on Safari, go to Settings >Apps> Safari  and tap>Clear History and Website Data.
    • To clear cache on launch Chrome, tap the three buttons on bottom right then scroll down to Delete Browsing Data and tap Delete Data and then go back to www.BottleCru.com
    • To clear cache on Firefox, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear data.
  • Enable Camera Access on Your iPhoneSafari
    1. Open BottleCru.com in Safari.
    2. Tap the icon beside the website address → Website Settings → Camera → Allow.

    Chrome

    1. Go to iPhone Settings → Apps → Chrome.
    2. Enable Camera, if available.
    3. Open BottleCru and tap Allow when prompted.

    1. Open BottleCru from your Home Screen.
    2. Select a scanning feature and tap Allow when prompted.
    3. If previously denied, check Settings → Apps → BottleCru → Camera, if available.

    Still having trouble? Close and reopen BottleCru, then try scanning again.

  • On the iPhone if you have a bookmark/shortcut to the app on your home page, this may cause cache clearing to not work. In this case, please try deleting that bookmark, re-launch the app, then re-create the bookmark.

  • Add BottleCru to Your iPhone Home ScreenUsing Safari (All iPhones)
    1. Open Safari: Launch the Safari browser on your iPhone.
    2. Visit the Website: Go to www.BottleCru.com.
    3. Open the Share Menu: Tap the Share icon (a square with an upward arrow). On newer iPhones, you may need to tap the More (…) button first.
    4. Add to Home Screen: Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen. On newer iOS versions, you may find this under More (…).
    5. Name Your Icon: Edit the name if you’d like (e.g., “BottleCru”) and tap Add. If offered, select Open as Web App.
    6. Find It on Your Home Screen: The BottleCru icon will now appear on your home screen, just like an app.

    Using Chrome (iPhone)

    1. Open Chrome: Launch the Chrome browser on your iPhone.
    2. Visit the Website: Go to www.BottleCru.com.
    3. Open the Share Menu: Tap the Share icon (a square with an upward arrow), usually near the address bar or in the browser menu.
    4. Add to Home Screen: Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.
    5. Name Your Icon: Edit the name if you’d like (e.g., “BottleCru”) and tap Add.
    6. Find It on Your Home Screen: The BottleCru icon will appear on your home screen for easy access.

    Done! Tap the BottleCru icon anytime to quickly access BottleCru without having to open your browser and type the website address.

    Note: If you don’t see “Add to Home Screen” in Chrome, open BottleCru in Safari and follow the Safari instructions above.

Using Chrome (Most Android Phones)

  1. Open Chrome: Launch the Chrome browser on your Android phone.
  2. Visit the Website: Go to www.BottleCru.com.
  3. Open the Menu: Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
  4. Add to Home Screen: Select Add to Home screen. On newer versions of Chrome, you may see Install app instead.
  5. Name Your Icon: Edit the name if you’d like (e.g., “BottleCru”) and tap Add or Install.
  6. Place the Icon: Tap Add to Home screen or drag the icon to your preferred location, if prompted.

Using Samsung Internet (Samsung Galaxy Phones)

  1. Open Samsung Internet: Launch the Samsung Internet browser.
  2. Visit the Website: Go to www.BottleCru.com.
  3. Open the Menu: Tap the three-line menu (☰), usually at the bottom-right of the screen.
  4. Add to Home Screen: Select Add page to, then choose Home screen.
  5. Name Your Icon: Edit the name if you’d like (e.g., “BottleCru”) and tap Add.
  6. Find It on Your Home Screen: The BottleCru icon will appear on your home screen for easy access.

Using Firefox (Android)

  1. Open Firefox: Launch the Firefox browser on your Android phone.

  3. Open the Menu: Tap the three-dot menu (⋮), usually next to the address bar.
