Arneis, Cortese (Gavi) & Verdicchio
These wines are somewhat distinctive but share basic style commonality. Pale yellow. Aromas of citrus blossom, lemon, fresh grass & white melon.
Flavors of tangy & refreshing sweet lemon, tangerine, green tea & green herbs. Dry on palate with good acidity & light bitter almond finish.
Typically no oak influence & medium to medium plus alcohol level.
Verdicchio means "little green one" is the same grape as Turbiana from Lugana
Serve cool & drink young to show a palate refreshing acidity. Pairs well with fresh salads with mild herbs, salty sea dishes, shell fish & simpler prepared fish dishes.
