Aromas of ripe lemon, white peach & citrus zest. Flavors of lemon & stone fruit.
Usually a dry, full bodied wine with pronounced vibrant acidity & stoney minerality.
Sometimes referred to as a “white grape in red’s clothing,” due to its full body.
Must be at least 75% Assyrtiko with the remaining 25%, Athiri and/or Aidani, both local grapes. Ages really well.
Generally unoaked, but some wineries also make an oaked style, which smooths the texture and adds some baking spice flavor.
A great food pairing wine!
